Response journal Catcher In the Rye quetion #44

The way Holden handled Sunny and Maurice in the hotel room I'm gonna have to say his way of attacking the situation didn't work at all I understand that he was just trying to keep his money and Maurice did say 5$ for the throw but I wouldn't want to get in the way of a pimp I admire his bravery, though even if in the end he still ended up losing the extra 5$. I can't say I would be able to handle the situation the same way I'd probably just cave right in after the first few times he said to pay him not to seem like a coward or anything im not afraid of a fight but I prefer not being stabbed over 5$ thats just my opinion. So far really enjoying this book.

response journal question #40 Catcher In the Rye

Holden's way of writing is a little jumpy i find that he has this habbit where he will start talking about thing and then he'll mention someone's name and then he explains everything he knows about that one person I feel like he can't bring himself to commit to the story he's telling as if he's just trying to stretch it out and waste time. Don't get me wrong I like the story but I could do without knowing every little detail about these people that really dont have much to do with the story at all at this point. I'm hoping near the end of the book he explains why he cant stick to the main story in the meantime ill just keep reading.

wow woops

so this blog thing has become a bit of a downfall for me as i don't spend all that much time on the computer its been quite hard for me to be continuous with posting but i will do my best at a minimum of one or two posts a week that way i still have a bit of content on my blog.

Today during my spare me and Scott started and finished filming the first scene to our mystery movie for English class with the help of Lorenzo, Ryan and Dan. We got some really cool shots and it'll look really good when i edit them all together ill be sure to post the movie up here when its finished. the only problem with this project is that the last 2 days M. David hasn't been there so we're not aloud out of class and we cant get access to the places we need to film hopefully we manage to finish in time since this is a project I'm actually enjoying and id hate to do bad on something i like anyway that's all i really got for now

Its been a few days since i updated my blog i find this blogging thing to be hard for me to do since i don't spend that much time on the computer and revealing what i'm doing is kinda weird to me (this includes other social networking websites as well) but none the less im gonna have to get over that anyway on to the subject i picked for today. One of my new, well i wouldn't really say new I've been doing this for a year and a bit now but one of my favorite things to do is go to the gym and workout. Go ahead call me a meat head or whatever you want but to tell you the truth i don't want to be bodybuilder big i prefer being able to scratch my back i just use working out as a form of releasing stress/anger i also like to run helps calm me down that and its healthy. Im what some people would call a health freak you know the kind of person that doesn't eat sweets, fatty foods, fast food all that kind of stuff. Now you could say hey Chris lighten up a bit have some sweets from time to time everything is good in moderation yes this is true but i also used to be 220 lbs i lost 65 lbs since then and put on 20 lbs of muscle and if i wasn't so hard on myself that would of never happen. You might be saying to yourself "this kinda sounds like one of those diet stories whats next is he gonna tell me to get in the gym?" actually no to tell you the absolute honest truth i really don't care what you do, I like to workout its what i do, if you like sweets good for you id never tell you to stop that's up to you do what makes you happy anyway that's about it for this blog.

Thanks For Giving

As we all know a day of family and lots of food is coming up, no its not Christmas or Easter, its Thanksgiving a time for turkey dinner and spending time with those who you care about the most. I for one am going to spend thanks giving at my grandmothers i plan on eating so much that i wont want to move for a good day and a half haha.

BLOG QUESTION: what are your plans for this festivity??

well so much for an hour or 2 i managed to fall asleep on the floor in my bedroom, yea that's right the floor i didn't even make it to my bed didn't know i was that tired. Oh well it brings up the topic i wanted to talk about anyway, everyone knows that the proper amount of sleep is 8-9 hours but who actually gets that? I know i hardly ever do I'm usually up until at least 11:30-12:00 on school nights and i get up at 6 o'clock. What I'm trying to get at is that we as a society manage to find things that outweight the importance of sleep when in reality nothing should get in the way of that as its a bodily function. We're so "busy" that we cant even sleep anymore its crazy to be honest i don't know what exactly there is to do from 10 to 12 o'clock on a week night. I for one am going to be going to bed earlier.

Well so far no luck with videos they keep turning out really choppy oh well looks like this going to be mostly a text blog then. Yes i do realize I'm quite far behind on my posting but ill be sure to make up for it in the next few days. Thats it for this little update just thought i should let you know whats going ill be posting again in an hour or 2 when i get back from the gym
